Eastward ho!

This last weekend Momma and Dadda put a bunch of stuff in the car, including me, and we drove east to the town of Winthrop. Dadda's cousin was getting married at a beautiful spot there. We stayed in a condo with Genevieve and her parents, which was super awesome.
Along the way we saw a small chapel, which seemed just about the right size for me. I felt it was important to stop and offer our humble thoughts and prayers. I, for one, had no idea what was in store with this whole weekend.
The chapel was a sweet little place. Momma fretted that it might be inappropriate to take photos, but we assured her our intentions were good. (Or at least not too terribly bad.) I wanted to stay longer but there was so much talk about "getting there". I tell you, when big people are hungry, its all you hear about.
Here we are, at a brewery in the Winthrop place. Momma and I are each deep in our own thoughts. Heaven knows what she's thinking about. I'm wondering about the pretty trees and sunshine. There was much more sunshine, and things weren't quite as green and wet over there. It was lovely in its own way. Winthrop is an old-timey Western-themed bend in the road. Pretty fun strolling around.

Back at the condo...
I was hangin' with my main lady Genevieve. Here I'm trying to show her my muscles. She can be pretty indifferent when she wants to. But then sometimes...
...sometimes she's capable of quite an impressive grip.

I don't know what's become of the photos from the actual wedding. It was quite an experience, let me tell you. Tons of people, both big and small, and everyone was very excited about being there. I was thrilled to see Grandma and Grandpa Smith were there. I got to hang with them quite a bit. After the big people ate there was lots of loud music and everyone danced around, which is a new and bewildering experience for me. I danced with Dadda and Momma a lot.

It was definitely the longest car ride I've undertaken. I managed to sleep away most of it, which seemed to please my folks. But some of it, towards the end, I just couldn't put up with, and so I had to talk very loudly about it. A lot. Eventually we got home. Whew!
